Introduction

The Esoteric Order of Dagon is an international collective of practicing writers, artists, magicians, and madmen who work with the mythos of H.P. Lovecraft (and related visions) toward practical Artistic and Initiatory ends. The specifics of practice will depend upon the individual and members are encouraged to share with and involve other members of the Order.

We are not a "club" or simply another mythos-related e-list. Most of the personal and Initiatory work of our members is done outside the confines of the Internet.

The E.O.D. leaves Initiation for its members to seek, providing resources to assist in their Work and a networking framework through which to share ideas and find others working in related areas of interest. Consider us a "collaborative association" of sorts - a tool of great value for those who know how to use it.

There are several groups using the name Esoteric Order of Dagon and we have no affiliation with many of them. The name is derived from the story The Shadow Over Innsmouth written by H.P Lovecraft in 1936.
