O friend and companion of night, thou who rejoicest in the baying of dogs and spilt blood, who wanderest in the midst of shades among the tombs, who longest for blood and bringest terror to mortals, Gorgo,Mormo, thousand-faced moon, look favourably on our sacrifices!

Within the polyglot abyss of New York's underworld, amidst old brick slums and seas of dark, subtle faces, comes a thing of nightmare and eldritch portent. A new lodge comes into Being!

The Red Hook Lodge is centered on the New York City metro area and serves as a local gateway to the Esoteric Order of Dagon. It is the will of the Lodge to facilitate the exchange of Initiation, technique, and information within the E.O.D. and is open to both members local to the Lodge and all those within the Order willing to accept its challenge and call to action.

The nature of the lodge is two-fold:

As a physical lodge, local members are encouraged to gather and interact at in-person meetings which are called as the need arises. This physical lodge provides both a social outlet for resident and visiting Order members and provides a collaborative foundation on which to develop group workings or presentations as well as a springboard with which to manifest them. As such, the physical lodge serves as a conduit between the dream realms and the realms of manifestation.

As an esoteric lodge, members throughout the Order are called to share in its vision for a greater wealth of formal Order materials and the spreading of ideas like a plague across the land. All lodge members and affiliates – local or not – are expected to provide materials for publication within the Order via the Lodge’s journal, Writings on the Walls. Such material includes, but is not limited to, articles, essays, artwork, rituals, poems, and reviews. Those unable to handle this simple challenge at least once annually are subject to expulsion from the Red Hook Lodge as it is the belief of the Lodge that all members who claim an active status should be able to account for their work within the Order in one form or another. As such, the esoteric lodge seeks to rekindle the spirit of networking and sharing on which the E.O.D. was founded.

Age-old horror is a hydra with a thousand heads, and the cults of darkness are rooted in blasphemies deeper than the well of Democritus, The soul of the beast is omnipresent and triumphant, and Red Hook's legions of blear-eyed, pockmarked youths still chant and curse and howl as they file from abyss to abyss, none knows whence or whither, pushed on by blind laws of biology which they may never understand.
