Offices
The Esoteric Order of Dagon is an international organization consisting of semi-autonomous Temples, Churchs, and Halls chartered by the Grand Masters of the Order. While there are an established offices within the Order, with few exceptions they have no connotation of "rank". In fact members have been known to hold multiple offices, sometimes under different magical names, depending upon the nature of their Work and level of sanity.
Master of the Temple of Dagon M.T.D.
The Office of Master of the Temple of Dagon, Keeper of the Sepulchre, and Lama are ordained to initiate new members into the Order and have been entrusted to speak on behalf of, and publish in the name of, the E.O.D in their own style and with their own approach. Masters of the Temple of Dagon may also establish a Order of Dagon Hall in their local area and serve as its Keeper of the Hall. Masters and Masters of the Temple create activity within the Order and help excite interest in the local area of the Hall or Temple, serving as physical contact points for those seeking the E.O.D. They report activity within their area to the other Keepers of the Halls, Keepers of the Temples, and the Keeper of the Sepulchre of the Prophet, and to the Esoteric Order of Dagon Grand Hall.
Grand Masters G.M.
The Grand Masters provide various directions for the Order, approve officer positions, grant charters, and is generally considered rather strange. The Grand Masters may alter offices to best suit the needs of the Order and its Initiates and as such the structure may vary with the successors who mould the future of the Order.
Most Honorable Sovereign Member M.H.S.M.
M.H.S.M. is granted by the Grand Master or a Master of the Temple to all who sincerely seek entry into the Order. It allows for some interaction with its members during their introductory phase. Sometimes this office is also offered to those the E.O.D feels have done a service to the Order or by Yogsothothery either directly or indirectly by their Work, but in such cases the honor must be accepted to take effect. (Some magical orders hand honorary membership out to celebrities despite their lack of acknowledgment in order to flaunt their names - we feel such an honor must be acknowledged for it to have any merit.) M.H.S.M. may be invited to attend workings and other events at the discretion of the organizer. M.H.S.M.s may become active members Dagonists upon request provided they intend to actively participate within the Order.
Dagonist D.
While the Most Honorable Sovereign Member M.H.S.M. is merely affiliated with the Order, an Dagonist is one who actively participates within the Order and has been recognized as such by the Grand Master or a Master of the Temple. Dagonists have full access to the Order's resources and are responsible for their own Initiation.
Specialized Offices
Specialized offices which reflect the current work being done by an Initiate of the Order. These degrees are merely a reflection of one's current involvement and state of mind, as well as role one may play within the Order. These offices have nothing to do with rank. One may find him or herself jumping between these offices in no particular order while others may choose to assign certain Initiatory associations to them and then traverse the offices in a hierarchical fashion as a path of self-development. How one decides to work within these offices is a rather personal matter. Members should not however feel demoted if they find themselves on a "lower" offices. The levels are meaningless in that regard; this is often a difficult mystery to comprehend.
